Dr Salmi Razali is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Associate Professor in Psychiatry (DU56) of the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA with longstanding interests in mental health, behavioural medicine and neuroscience. She is the founder of Professional Postgraduate teaching and training in Psychiatry for Faculty of Medicine, UiTM. She served as the Chair of Conjoint Committee (Psychiatry) for Postgraduate Psychiatry Training in Malaysia (2022-2024 March) and very passionate in teaching and sharing knowledge with undergraduates and postgraduates students in psychiatry.

She also active in research. She is an expert in quantitative and qualitative research. Her PhD focused on investigating why mothers killed their baby and children. After finishing her studies, her research has focused on women and perinatal mental health; violence against women; forensic psychiatry & criminology, psychological soft skills, women empowerment, general psychiatry and psychology.  She is also active in philanthropy work empowering vulnerable women and girls. She is the founder of a Module; PEACE for Women. She is an expert advisor and collaborator for project related to perinatal mental health carried out by Public Health Institute and Ministry of Health.
